Serveliata Hargreaves has set up a project aimed at providing support and services for older black women. The project hopes to be able to offer practical support such as shopping, a buddy system, and information surrounding health care and life skills. The hopes are to link older black women together by taking them to places they can't get to on their own such as, for example, church, learning seminars, the cinema, hairdressers etc. Although the project is primarily focused on the older black women in the community it also wishes to support younger women and working mothers, and hopes to be able to form lines of communication across all these groups.
