Five things social entrepreneurs need to know about Transform Ageing

The UK is undergoing a demographic shift – one in five millennials will live until they are 100-years-old according to the Resolution Foundation. The average age for a person in the UK is already above 40-years-old.

The challenges this represents are huge, the strains it will put on health and social care are considerable. But for every challenge there’s a social entrepreneur with a solution.

We launched Transform Ageing to revolutionise our approaches to health, wellbeing and social care for people in later life, starting in the south-west of England. We want to put innovation and collaboration at the heart of this change and we want you to join us.

Transform Ageing is Funded by Big Lottery and run in partnership with the Design Council, the South West Academic Health Science Network and the Centre for Ageing Better.

Its delivery is also being supported locally on the ground in the south-west by Volunteer CornwallDevon Communities TogetherCommunity Council for Somerset and Torbay Community Development Trust.
