Solutions To Ageing – Liverpool

Do you have an idea that could improve services delivered to older people in Liverpool City Region?

UnLtd, in partnership with Capacity and the Innovation Agency are looking to support new and innovative ideas that will transform ageing in Liverpool City Region.

Solutions for Ageing Liverpool will provide funding and enterprise support to 12 different ventures that seek to transform the way services are delivered to older people; whether that be enabling them to live in the community for longer or improving the quality of domiciliary, or residential care.

How can we support you?

Our Do It Awards give you up to £5,000 cash, alongside a tailored package of support, so that you can create a social venture to tackle any social problem you’re passionate about fixing.
Our Grow It Awards give you up to £15,000 cash, provide support to those who have proven their commitment and have successful ventures which are ready to scale or become self-sustaining. During the initial year we will seek to support 6 ventures.

To help you take the next step in your journey, we work with you to grow your plans and access the help you need from people who provide specialist support.
We work with a range of specialist advisors to help you tackle difficult challenges. This could include things like legal advice, financial planning or human resource issues.
We work with social entrepreneurs like you to secure resources (including finance) that will allow you to test new ideas, increase the impact of your venture and grow as an individual.
We support individuals who are:
  • Aged 16 or over and living in the UK
  • Not part of an established organisation
To be eligible your idea must:
  • Have a real social impact
  • Fulfil a clear need and demand
  • Have clear outputs and goals
  • Provide a learning experience or opportunity
  • Beneficiaries must be UK based
Ideas and ventures are not eligible for an Award if they:
  • Are part of your paid employment
  • Involve political or religious campaigning
  • Involve activities outside of the law or against public policy, or anything that encourages ethnic, religious or commercial disharmony
  • Involve employing people other than yourself to carry out most of the work
  • Are mainly for people to achieve academic qualifications
  • Are to fund living expenses
