IMPORTANT UPDATE: Application Portal Issue
Due to a significant rise in demand for UnLtd Awards, we have introduced a limit on the number of applications we can accept and process in each award making round. From now on, each funding round will be limited to 650 submitted applications.
Estimated 175,000+ people reached by social entrepreneurs we supported in 2024/25
By Mark Norbury, Chief Executive
In a year marked by uncertainty, social entrepreneurs across the UK didn’t just adapt — they led. They tackled inequality, reshaped communities, and built ventures that last. Through their work, the social entrepreneurs we supported are estimated to have reached over 175,000 individuals, creating ripples of change where it matters most.
“The social entrepreneurs we’ve supported this year haven’t just adapted to uncertainty – they’ve created hope and meaning in their communities. Their resilience and innovation have empowered them to improve the lives of an estimated 175,000 people, proving that when we back purpose-driven leaders, the ripple effect is extraordinary.”

From health and wellbeing to financial inclusion, their work rippled across communities.
Beth Kume-Holland, founder of Patchwork Hub, is tackling one of the biggest challenges in the workplace: inclusion for disabled and neurodivergent talent.
Following UnLtd support and a rigorous due diligence process, the Growth Impact Fund made a significant investment as the lead in a £750,000 fundraising round. That backing has accelerated Patchwork Hub’s mission to create systemic change:
• 5,000+ inclusive work opportunities opened for disabled and neurodivergent talent, with placements across major UK companies.
• 900 employees trained in disability inclusion and accessibility, equipping organisations to break down barriers and embed inclusive practices.
Beth says:
“Support isn’t just financial – it’s about a team that ‘gets it’ and connects you to the right people and resources.”
For Liam Rushmer, founder of Fitness Rush, physical activity is more than fitness — it’s survival.
His programme helps people from all backgrounds embrace movement and reclaim their health. For Catherine, a participant, the impact was life-changing:
“Fitness Rush is the best thing that’s happened to me. I don’t think I’d be sober, healthy or happy without it. It’s given me purpose and a way to face my demons.”
The challenges ahead are complex — economic uncertainty, social divides, and systemic barriers. That’s why our commitment is clear: to support social entrepreneurs wherever they are in their journey. Whether they’re just starting out or are ready for investment, we’ll provide the support, networks, and tools they need to thrive — because their resilience and innovation are vital in today’s climate.
This is just a snapshot. Dive deeper into the stories, stats, and systemic change we’re driving together.
