IMPORTANT UPDATE: We are nearing the application limit
Due to a significant rise in demand for UnLtd Awards, we have introduced a limit on the number of applications we can accept and process in each award making round. From now on, each funding round will be limited to 650 submitted applications. We are nearing the limit for this funding round so we advise you to submit your application soon.
This guide includes UnLtd's timeframes for Award making and how applications are assessed.
We assess applications on a quarterly basis. This means that you may not hear from us straightaway. The table below shows when you should expect to hear from us by.
If you submitted your application in the 1st July 2025 window, you will receive a decision by the end of week commencing 15th December 2025.

Due to a significant rise in demand for UnLtd Awards, we have introduced a limit on the number of applications we can accept and process in each award making round. Currently each funding round will be limited to 650 submitted applications. Applications that are started but not submitted will not count toward this limit. You can read more about this here.
All submitted applications undergo a thorough assessment:
If your application meets all our eligibility criteria, it will be reviewed against our three key areas of assessment: social impact, inclusion, and financial sustainability.
Your application will then be reviewed and discussed by our Support Managers. The strongest applications with the most potential will be invited to a panel meeting.
You’ll be invited to discuss your application with a panel made up of UnLtd staff and social entrepreneurs who have previously received our support. Our panel members reflect the communities we serve and receive training to ensure fair and balanced decisions.
Read our Panel Meeting Guide to understand what to expect.
If your application is recommended for an Award, it will go to our Awards Committee — a group that includes UnLtd trustees and social entrepreneurs — for final approval. You will be informed of the outcome by email once a decision is made.
